INBOUND 18 - What can you expect?

It’s almost that time again. The most significant event of the year for any HubSpotter or Inbound Marketer – INBOUND – is just around the corner!

INBOUND is HubSpot’s annual conference – a conference where the most creative and intelligent 'HubSpotters' and Inbound Marketers have been congregating since 2012 to share their love and knowledge of Inbound.

And on 04 September, 2018 tens of thousands of these HubSpotters and Inbound Marketers will descend on the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center to immerse themselves in three, jam-packed days of digital marketing knowledge, business developments, industry trends and insights.

But it’s not just about HubSpot, Inbound and digital marketing. At INBOUND you can also hear from some of the brightest business leaders, authors and inspirational speakers from around the world. Last year we had keynote speeches from Michelle Obama - we even saw John Cena - and more than 20,000 people attended!

For us, however, the occasion (and education) starts a little earlier. We’ll be arriving the day before for what’s called ‘HubSpot Partner Day’. It’s a day specifically for HubSpot Partners to connect, watch keynote presentations, take part in workshops, and discuss how the HubSpot Partner community will continue to support hundreds of thousands of companies worldwide to grow over the next 12 months.

Here’s how INBOUND is generally broken down.

Tuesday (HubSpot Partner Day)

As we mentioned, we’ll be arriving a day before the actual Inbound conference for HubSpot Partner Day.

HubSpot Partner Day consists of a number of workshops, courses and day-long training sessions that HubSpot Partners can attend. For us, it’s an opportunity to learn more about Inbound Marketing and HubSpot, as well as tap into the expertise and knowledge other Partners have to share.

Inbound 17 - 1

The HubSpot Partner day usually finishes with a kick-off keynote – the final keynote announcing that INBOUND is officially open. Following the kick-off keynote is the welcome party; a chance for all to network and acquire a little liquid boost.

Inbound 17 - 2

Wednesday

Last year, INBOUND started early. This year, the INBOUND orienteering session starts a little later at 5:30PM. It will be delivered by Laura Fitton, an INBOUND evangelist, Elijah Clark-Ginsberg, INBOUND’s senior event manager, and Devyn Bellamy of Tower Industries.

Following the INBOUND orienteering session, Deepak Chopra – a best-selling author – and Laura Moran – an INBOUND moderator – will be hosting the INBOUND Studio from 6:00PM. . Then, from 7:00PM, Deepak Chopra will deliver the main keynote speech of the day from the main stage, followed by the welcome party.

Expect a lot of food, booze and excitement from 5:30PM onwards!

Thursday

Thursday starts early with a keynote speech on the main stage from Beth Comstock, former vice chair of GE, and Whitney Johnson, CEO of WLJ Advisors, at 9:00AM, both incredible business professionals in their own right.

We’re particularly looking forward to hearing from David Meerman Scott at 11:45AM and Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah, the founders of HubSpot, at 2:15PM on the main stage where they will no doubt unveil some new HubSpot tools to the world that you won’t want to miss!

But remember, INBOUND is not just about digital marketing!

Thursday is full of speeches, workshops and breakout sessions that cater to every marketer, salesperson and business professional – so you will no doubt find something that piques your interest. Just take a quick look at the full agenda!

Friday

Friday is the last day of the INBOUND conference but don’t think for a moment the last day means the event is winding down. Thursday – like every other day – is jam-packed with sessions you can attend. Friday starts off with a keynote speech from Shonda Rhimes, creator of the hit ABC series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and the series ‘Scandal’ (some of you might know) and Joanna Coles, described by The New York Times as “one of the most powerful people in media” – so certainly not one to miss!

On Friday we’ll probably be dipping in and out of sessions – Rand Fishkin (Founder of Moz and SparkToro) is on at 11:45AM with his session: ‘7 Lessons That Will Make You (and would have made me) a Better Entrepreneur – and then later on at 2:15PM everyone will have a chance to ask him anything (we bet all the questions will be SEO related).

Take a look around, attend some sessions, you won’t be disappointed!

There’s a diverse selection of speakers and an incredible amount of sessions you can attend to educate yourself. Business experts, motivational speakers, marketers – talented people from all walks of life will be at INBOUND and it’s an event that just keeps growing and growing each year. Don’t miss out. Come on down. We hope to see you there!

P.S. We'll be in Boston from Monday so if you want to meet the team and discuss all things HubSpot and Inbound Marketing - give us a shout!
