HubSpot Breeze AI: a deep dive for HubSpot users

In this article, we’ll explore key features of Breeze AI, and examine how its various tools, including Breeze Copilot and Breeze Agents, are set to transform the way businesses operate.

In September 2024, live at the Inbound event (HubSpot’s Annual Conference), HubSpot announced an update and rebrand of the AI tools that they have launched over the last 12 months or so.

HubSpot is now calling its collection of AI tools: Breeze

Breeze is the result of more than a year of development and integration work and builds on HubSpot's existing AI tools to create a more cohesive and central AI solution.

In the past year, HubSpot has been embedding AI across its various hubs, continually enhancing the platform’s capabilities. These advancements began with tools like ChatSpot, which introduced users to basic AI-driven functionalities. ChatSpot helped users perform tasks like data retrieval, scheduling, and customer interaction automation, laying the groundwork for what was to come.

Now, with the introduction of Breeze, HubSpot has unified and rebranded these AI tools under a single, comprehensive umbrella. Breeze not only incorporates the features of ChatSpot but also introduces new capabilities that make it easier to use, more accessible, and more responsive to the context in which you're working.

In the following sections, we’ll explore the evolution of AI within HubSpot, cover key features of Breeze, and examine how its various tools, including Breeze Copilot and Breeze Agents, are set to transform the way businesses operate.

What is HubSpot Breeze (AI)?

HubSpot's journey with AI began with the introduction of tools like ChatSpot, which provided users with basic automation to help manage some routine tasks across the platform, like retrieving data, or creating contacts.

Since the initial launch of ChatSpot, HubSpot moved from simple AI tools to developing more intelligent and context-aware systems. This was driven by the need for tools that not only performed tasks but also understood the context in which they were being used. HubSpot recognised that for AI to be truly effective, it had to be integrated into the workflow in a way that was intuitive and responsive to users' needs - and baked into the tool - not a tool that sat on the side that you had to navigate to.

This progression led to the development of Breeze, a suite of AI-powered tools designed to enhance the productivity of businesses across the HubSpot platform.

Breeze integrates AI-powered capabilities throughout the entire HubSpot platform. This means that customer-facing teams can work smarter and faster, with AI tools embedded directly into their day-to-day workflows.

At the heart of Breeze is Breeze Copilot, which combines the core functionalities of ChatSpot with new features that make it easier to use and more aware of the context in which it operates.

In the next section, we’ll take a closer look at Breeze Copilot and how it assists users across all HubSpot tools.

Breeze Copilot: AI assistant for task management in HubSpot

Formerly known as ChatSpot, Breeze Copilot is a generative AI chat assistant designed to assist users no matter where they are within HubSpot. As an AI companion, Breeze Copilot supports users across all HubSpot tools, providing assistance with a wide range of tasks.

For example, it can help with scheduling meetings by pulling up your calendar and finding available time slots. It can also handle data entry tasks, such as updating contact information or logging customer interactions, which saves you time and reduces the risk of errors.

Additionally, Breeze Copilot can assist with customer interactions, helping you craft responses or follow-ups based on previous conversations and customer data.

Breeze Copilot comes with several key features that make it a valuable tool for everyday tasks:

  • Accessibility: Breeze Copilot is designed to be user-friendly and available across different devices and platforms, ensuring that you can access its capabilities whether you’re at your desk, on your phone, or working remotely. This flexibility makes it easier for users to integrate AI into their daily routines without needing to learn a new system.

  • Context Awareness: Breeze Copilot is context-aware, meaning it understands what you’re working on at any given moment. For example, if you’re looking at a specific customer’s profile, Breeze Copilot can suggest relevant actions, such as updating notes, sending a follow-up email, or checking recent interactions. This feature minimises the need for manual input and ensures that the suggestions you receive are relevant and timely, helping you work more efficiently.

  • Prompt-Driven Enhancements: Breeze Copilot leverages natural language processing to make interactions smoother and more intuitive. You can communicate with Breeze Copilot using simple, natural language prompts, and it will understand and respond appropriately. This makes it easier for users to get the help they need without having to learn specific commands or workflows.

Breeze Copilot transforms the way users interact with HubSpot, making it easier to complete tasks, manage customer relationships, and stay on top of daily responsibilities. By providing real-time, context-aware support, Breeze Copilot allows users to focus more on strategic activities and less on routine tasks.

Next, we’ll explore Breeze Agents, a suite of tools within Breeze designed to automate specific tasks and further enhance productivity across HubSpot.

Breeze Agents: automating tasks to drive strategic focus

Breeze Agents are like specialised apps, each designed to complete specific tasks for you within the HubSpot platform. Just like assigning an agent to handle particular jobs, these AI-powered tools focus on distinct tasks, freeing you to concentrate on more strategic priorities by automating routine work.

Here’s a closer look at each of the Breeze Agents and how they can be used in real-life scenarios.

Social Media Agent

Inbound_ 1

The Social Media Agent is part of the Marketing Hub Pro+ and is available globally in multiple languages. This agent is designed to streamline the process of creating and managing social media content, which can be time-consuming and challenging for many businesses.

Imagine you’re a marketing manager for a large e-commerce company. You need to maintain a consistent social media presence across several platforms, but crafting posts, scheduling them, and analysing their performance takes up a significant portion of your day. The Social Media Agent can generate social media posts tailored to your business, audience, and brand voice.

It can also analyse past performance and use industry best practices to suggest the best times to post. For instance, if the agent notices that your audience is most active on Instagram during the early evening, it will recommend that time slot for posting. This means that marketing and social media managers can spend more time creating engaging content and less time worrying about the timing of their posts.

Content Agent

Content Agent, part of Content Hub Pro+, is available worldwide in multiple languages and is used to efficiently create high-quality content, including landing pages, podcasts, case studies and SEO-optimised blog posts.

Imagine you are a content manager in a large multinational organisation that wants to maintain an engaging online presence through various content formats. The content agent can streamline this process by quickly creating drafts for different content types based on your specifications and relevant data.

Imagine, for example, that you are a marketing manager in a global company in the financial services sector.

You need to stay ahead of market changes and prove your thought leadership in a highly competitive field. With the Content Agent, you can request a comprehensive, SEO-optimised blog post about new fintech innovations.

The agent analyses real-time data from trusted industry reports, competitor websites and relevant news outlets to create a detailed, data-driven article. It ensures that the content not only appeals to your target audience, but also ranks high in search results. This allows your brand to maintain its competitive advantage and appeal to C-level decision makers worldwide.

Prospecting Agent

The Prospecting Agent is designed to assist sales teams by automating the process of identifying and reaching out to potential customers. It works by assigning companies and contacts in your CRM that match your ideal customer profile and target audience.

As a sales representative at a B2B software company, you’re tasked with identifying high-quality leads and initiating outreach. The Prospecting Agent can analyse your CRM data and external sources to assign prospects that closely match your ideal customer persona. The agent also researches each company and contact to understand their business needs, then crafts personalised outreach emails based on this research.

For instance, if the agent detects that a prospect has recently shown interest in a particular product feature on your website, it will tailor the email to address this interest and follow up at the optimal time. This level of personalisation and automation helps you engage prospects more effectively, increasing the chances of converting them into customers.

Customer Agent

The Customer Agent, part of the Service Hub Pro+, was developed to optimise customer service processes. It is currently available in English and will support other languages in the future. This tool is designed to handle routine customer service enquiries, allowing your business support team to focus on more complex and strategic issues.

For a global organisation managing a diverse customer base, the Customer Agent can be quickly integrated into your existing knowledge base, website content and support documentation. It answers frequently asked questions, such as service level agreements, account management or product specifications, in an efficient manner, providing accurate and consistent answers that reflect the voice of your brand.

In cases where more complicated support is required, the Customer Agent transfers the conversation to a human representative, capturing key metrics such as resolution times and customer satisfaction. This automation not only ensures a high standard of service, but also optimises your team's efficiency, allowing them to focus on solving complex issues and improving the overall customer experience.

By automating routine tasks, the Customer Agent helps organisational support teams maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, contributing to more effective resource allocation.

The impact of Breeze on HubSpot customers

Breeze AI is a strategic asset designed to enhance productivity, shift focus from operational tasks to strategic initiatives, and align with HubSpot’s vision of creating a unified, intelligent platform for businesses.

Here’s how Breeze is making a tangible impact on HubSpot customers.

Maximising productivity with Breeze’s task automation

Breeze significantly reduces the time spent on manual tasks, allowing teams to focus on more critical work. By automating routine activities like data entry, social media posting, content creation, and customer support, Breeze helps businesses operate more efficiently.

For example, an enterprise marketing team that used to spend significant time creating and scheduling social media posts can benefit from Breeze’s Social Media Agent. The tool automates the generation of posts tailored to the company’s audience and brand and recommends the best times to post based on past data. This automation saves valuable time, which can be redirected towards strategic activities such as campaign planning and market analysis.

Similarly, the Prospecting Agent helps sales teams by automating the process of finding and reaching out to potential clients. It handles tasks like lead assignment and personalised email outreach, allowing sales representatives to spend more time on high-priority activities, such as closing deals and developing key relationships.

Strategic focus: Breeze frees teams for strategic work

One of the most significant impacts of Breeze is the shift it enables from operational tasks to strategic decision-making. With Breeze handling much of the routine work, teams can redirect their efforts toward activities that drive growth and innovation.

A customer service team using the Customer Agent can automate responses to common queries, such as order status checks or return policy questions. This automation not only speeds up response times but also allows the team to focus on more complex support issues that require a human touch. As a result, the team can improve customer satisfaction while also contributing to the development of better service strategies.

In the marketing department, with content creation largely automated by the Content Agent, the team can focus on refining their overall content strategy, analysing performance data, and exploring new ways to engage their audience. This shift from execution to strategy enables the team to have a more significant impact on the company’s growth.

HubSpot’s vision and the long-term potential of Breeze

Breeze AI aligns perfectly with HubSpot’s broader vision of creating a unified, intelligent platform for enterprises. HubSpot has always aimed to simplify complex processes and make powerful tools accessible to businesses of all sizes. With Breeze, HubSpot is taking this mission a step further by integrating AI deeply into its platform, making it smarter and more intuitive.

By continually improving AI capabilities, HubSpot is positioning Breeze as a cornerstone of its platform, one that will evolve alongside the needs of its customers.

As more companies adopt Breeze, it will likely drive further innovation within HubSpot, leading to the development of even more sophisticated AI-driven features. This ongoing evolution will ensure that HubSpot remains at the forefront of CRM technology, helping businesses grow and succeed in an increasingly competitive market.
