How can we best provide cover for maternity leave?

TNP’s marketing manager is their in-house HubSpot wizard. Along with heading the team, she leads the strategy, HubSpot set-up, implementation and change management. 

When she went on maternity leave, TNP needed HubSpot expertise and support to fill the gap. They also needed strategic marketing advice and guidance that would aid them over the year.

They considered their options — in-house cover, temporary hire or agency outsourcing — and signed a 12-month agile support retainer with Huble Digital.

Ensuring a seamless transition into our retainer, and improving marketing results for that period

This project began as a HubSpot retainer with PPC and paid social management, evolving into an agile support retainer as the need for greater flexibility became clear. 

Huble distributed a bucket of support hours across their resources to provide support, strategy and tactics on a case-by-case basis, helping to drive marketing activity and performance.    

The Huble team started with a strategy workshop and delivered remote and on-site support. They also facilitated PPC, paid social set up and management, and SEO. The SEO project alone included an SEO migration and audit, a technical report, keyword research, on-page optimisation, and performance monitoring and reporting.

TNP’s marketing manager drives strategy, oversees its implementation, and is the brains behind HubSpot optimisation, change management and troubleshooting.

But while she was on maternity leave, they were left without her expertise for a year! 

TNP knew that someone had to stand-in to provide HubSpot expertise, support, and strategic advice while she was away. That’s when they came to Huble Digital.

Marrying strategy to technology drove a year of fantastic results and ensured a smooth transition from in-house management to agency retainer. 

After managing the initial handover, we identified the year’s primary goals: improving rankings and increasing overall website traffic. We then used a combination of HubSpot, Google Ads, Paid LinkedIn, BrightEdge SEO and SEMrush.

Introducing the team that made it happen

To offer an agile support retainer, we needed a wide range of multidisciplinary experts on hand. 

An account manager headed up a 4-person team of SEO, PPC, HubSpot and content specialists. 

Weekly client calls shared status updates with the client, and the first 30 minutes were spent on discussing results and marking areas for improvement.

Within a year, TNP successfully migrated their website to a new domain, launched an Irish version of their site, optimised their HubSpot portal (including implementing lead nurture), developed and implemented topic clusters and rolled out multiple PPC and paid social campaigns.
